I got a letter from the landlord the other day, and I'm supposed to give you a present.

I don't believe we've met, so I don't have any ideas. What would you like?

Hey, I got a similar letter! I guess this has been sent to everyone in town.

I guess a psychology book would be awesome. I'm a defense attorney and I like to use psychology in the courtroom! So any opportunity to learn new stuff would be great!

[And sure enough, on Christmas Eve, Athena will find a neatly wrapped box at her door with a book (Courtroom Psychology and Trial Advocacy), and a plate of cookies. There's also a neatly written note that says: Merry Christmas, I hope you enjoy these.]

[Simon will be stopping by at one point on Christmas day to deliver a gift to Athena.

It will be two things wrapped in a lovely golden silk brocade, because that's just like Simon. One will have three books. One book is on clinical psychology, another more specifically on emotions, and the third is about relationships.

The other package contains a bonsai tree. Under the tree is a figurine of a woman in a kimono. He definitely remembered their conversation about her wanting some flowers for her home and thought a bonsai would be a reminder of her mother as well.]

[Action - December 25th] AWWW THIS IS GONNA BE SO FULL OF FEELS.

[You might want to ring the doorbell, Simon. Athena's busy crying in her room and hasn't noticed your arrival yet.]

[Then he will go ahead and ring the doorbell until someone answers, though he would prefer it be Athena. He just wants to be sure the present will reach its intended destination.]

[Hope you can wait about 5 minutes, Simon. Because that is when Athena tries to dry her eyes before she makes her way to the front door, thinking there is nobody in the house. She opens the door, trying to look as cheerful as possible - and failing miserably.]

[Yes, it is easy to tell and getting something in one's eye looks similar enough, but a bit different. Obviously she wishes not to speak of it, so for now he won't press her on i, not yet at least.]
